Before Your Appointment

A few days ahead

A little preparation makes for richer, longer-lasting color and a smoother appointment for both of us.

Skin Prep

  • Exfoliate hands, arms, and feet 1–2 days before
  • Avoid lotion or oil on the day of your appointment
  • Skip waxing or threading on the henna area the same day

Timing

  • Book bridal mehndi 1–2 weeks ahead of your event
  • Allow 2–4 hours for full bridal coverage
  • Plan the design to dry overnight before your event, if possible

On the Day

  • Wear loose sleeves and avoid tight jewelry on hands/feet
  • Have reference images ready if you have a design in mind
  • Plan to stay still and relaxed while the design sets
What To Expect

After your appointment

Leave the paste on as long as possible — most brides get the richest, darkest color by keeping it on overnight and sealing it with a lemon-sugar mix before bed. Avoid water contact for the first few hours after the paste comes off, and the color will continue to deepen over 24–48 hours.
